Welcome To The Unmetric Blog
We may have officially launched way back in September (that’s like a generation ago in Internet terms) but we’ve been so busy adding new features and making the app as awesome as possible that we didn’t have time to start on our own blog. It’s sacrilegious we know because a key requirement of a startup is to have a blog to show everyone how amazing you are.
Well that’s all been fixed now because since September, Unmetric has grown from the hopes and dreams of three young…well youngish, web geeks working their butts off 30 hours a day, 7 days a week in to a lean mean startup consisting of nine full time staff. In case you’re wondering, my name is Peter, I’m employee number 6 and I’ll be your host on this blog from now until the rise of the planet of the apes. You can also join me on our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter.
Incase you haven’t had the opportunity to watch the “who on Earth are we” video that tells you everything you need to know about what we do, check it out below – it’s 2:42 minutes well spent, I promise!
Got it? We believe that brands in every sector are flying blind with their social media strategy and knowing what to do. Sure, in the last few years many big companies like Dell, Starbucks and Walmart seem to be getting it right but getting it right compared to what?
Unmetric has built this app to allow you to discover the benchmarks within your sector so that you know whether your Facebook brand page is performing on par with everyone else or worryingly, not doing as well as your competitors.
Why do you need competitive intelligence and benchmarking? Well, we kind of hope that the video above answered this, but if not let us know and we’ll make the person who created it do some forfeits or hide his office chair when he’s not looking. If you are still wondering, then let us ask you some questions…
Nintendo has been engaging with their fans the best compared to other games console pages. How and why?
You added 5,425 fans in the last week. Is that an achievement or just average?
American Airlines is getting more people to comment on their content than Delta. What are they posting that generates so much interest?
Audi replied to queries on Twitter within 15 minutes. How quickly is your brand responding to people?
Burger King has the highest growth rate, best engagement and are posting content with spectacular results. What are they doing?
As a sector, Restaurants & Cafes talked about themselves 65% of the time. What else did they talk about?
Now before you go ahead and tell us that you are already using XYZ service to monitor your campaigns let us stop you right there! Unmetric isn’t a listening service, nor is it a sentiment service. We are a social media benchmarking service that gives you competitive intelligence to know how your efforts stack up against your competitors.
Naturally we don’t want to make comparisons because there is nothing else like what we’re offering on the market, but with a gun to our head we’d say that we’re like a ComScore for social media. We give you proprietary insights and analysis that’s not available in any other listening or sentiment analysis service and gives you the data to benchmark your brand against everyone else.
We’re Unmetric and we’re here to give you competitive intelligence and benchmark data for your social media campaigns. You can get started today with our 15 day free trial.
