Social Media Shakedown of Top Australian Brands in December

December is that the time of year when brands jump into the Christmas bandwagon and the Australian brands were no exception. Brands leveraged contests and giveaways that saw high engagement across social channels.
On Facebook, Sony Mobile Australia, entertained its fans with its Xperia Z ‘Ultimate Entertainer’ contest, while Jeanswest ran a 14-day giveaway contest that generated lots of buzz for the brand.
On Twitter, Nokia Australia celebrated Christmas with its Appy Christmas competition asking its followers to review its 190,000 apps for the Windows phone. Medibank conducted Twitter chats on how to manage Christmas stress among other topics, while the retail chain Good Guys ran a giveaway contest to engage with its followers.
On YouTube, Domino’s Australia introduced its new Wagyu Diet pizza which garnered more than 291,000 views and Myer Australia showcased the power of give with its ‘Special Christmas Delivery’ video which was the most watched on its channel in December.
